Text description provided by the architects. This building exists in the growing town where an old house and a new house exist. There is a building in the location a little higher than a big street. The road on the south side of the building is narrow and is in the location higher than a site. The others' land on the north side is lower than a site conversely. I looked for the way to defend privacy against a problem in these sites and a look of the person who walks along a street
Privacy is secured. And I consider the space where feeling of liberation is here. To utilize the difference in the height of the southern road and site, the space where the family gather on the 1st floor is made. The road side makes a parking lot and separates a building.
The 1st floor of the building exists in the location lower than a road. There is a big window on the road side as a result, but the private space enclosed moderately is being produced. The front door space opened widely connects with a back garden. There was a calculated window in the upper part in a front door, and the sight also thought I go through and gave a light sense to a building from outside.
The living room where the family relaxes connects with the 2nd floor at the void space where the mutual sign can be felt each other. A void connects space and also also connects a wind and sunlight. The 2nd floor of all except for a bedroom was made flexible space. Child's playing space, study space, reading space and guest room can be chosen by a destination. The deck enclosed in a wooden louver is here to divide outside and the interior. These will be a buffering area to their eyes, and it's made a moderate spatial separation like the 1st floor.
